God knows my heart...and it will be OK

So here is a mini update - A few weeks ago I went to the doctor to talk about the symptoms that I have been experiencing and he referred me to a cardiologist. The cardiologist ran some tests (stress test, echo test, etc.) last week to see how my ole ticker was pumping. Yesterday was my follow up appointment to find out my results. What the cardiologist found was that there was a part of my heart that wasn't working correctly for someone of my age. Of course he said that it wasn't anything to be worried about because he doesn't believe it is something life threatening but he still wants to look into it further to rule out anything bad. The next step is going to be a CT scan so he can just go in there and see everything. I am hoping that Tricare will give the authorization to do this ASAP. We only have about 7 more days here. I can't imagine moving half way across the country with this kind of worry on my mind.

When I came home, I told Chris and of course he had his "Don't worry about it" attitude. Ugh...that used to annoy me so  much because it made me think that he didn't care. I am the type of person to think of every possible scenario and try to draw out a plan. Chris is just so "go with the flow". However, he did explain to me that he just always leaves his worries in God's hands and that is why he never worries to much about anything. He makes a good point. I don't think that I have as much faith in my God as I thought I did. My worries take over my life sometimes. I admire Chris and how much faith he has. That is something that I need to work on.

So I am going to change my attitude about this whole thing. Yes, there may be something wrong with my heart. If there is then I am sure that the doctors will find the best action plan to fix it. Instead of thinking of the worst possible scenarios (like "oh my gosh, I am going to DIE") I am going to leave things in God's hands. I will live my life one day at a time and enjoy it rather than spend my days worrying about tomorrow...worrying about things that may never be.

Chris told me yesterday "It will be OK. No matter WHAT happens, it will be OK". And he is so right. Everything will be OK.

Matthew 6:25-27  “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Matthew 6:34  “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 11:28-30  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Luke 12:25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his  span of life?

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you;my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
